About me
After spending 3 years teaching special education at the elementary level and 7 years as a middle school teacher in an alternative school serving students with significant emotional needs, McNamee jumped on board at Summit Academy this year in an admin role. This new adventure began a year ago when she went to visit and learn more about different alternative settings and was hooked after being invited to join the afternoon huddle. The way the staff and students welcomed and included her as a guest drew her to Summit, and the way they are able to pivot on a dime to solve problem and accept new solutions with grace keeps her fire burning each day. She is honored to be here and be a part of sharing the Summit Story.
