About me
Originally from Peoria, Arizona, Elyse attended the University of Arizona and received a BFA in Theatre Education. Before joining UI, Elyse worked as a teaching artist and actor and spent 10 years serving as a Department Head and Theater Teacher for Noble Charter Schools. An actor at heart, Elyse loves to play cooperative games that have a dramatic component like Charades! As the Curriculum Director at Urban Initiatives, she focuses on Lesson Planning, Scope and Sequence, Curriculum Revising, and Learning Approaches. She has most recently facilitated workshops in partnership with UCAN, NLARA, and Microsoft.
