Dr. Ebony Wrenn, is a trailblazer in the field of urban education and a highly sought after mentor, speaker, leader, and educator. Her journey as an educator started her senior year of high school after she was awarded the Golden Apple Foundation scholarship for aspiring educators. After several years of superior teaching service in the classroom, Ebony was encouraged by her supervisors to pursue an administrative role in the Prek-12 educational system.
She has a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and earned her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University. Her research is centered on the impact of relational trust and student outcomes in urban education. Additionally, Ebony serves on the Education Advisory Board for PicDiversity and mentors new teachers for the Golden Apple Foundation. For the past decade while serving as a K-8 teacher and school administrator Ebony has facilitated professional development for educators on a wide range of topics including: equity in education, the impact of relational practices through social emotional learning, and implementing a balanced literacy framework. Her experience also includes serving as an adjunct professor for pre-service teachers. In her free time, Ebony enjoys reading a good book, traveling with her children, exploring pescatarian cuisine, and creating memories with family and friends.
